1. What we collect

• Account details: your email address and name, received when you sign in with Google or a one-time email code (managed through Amazon Cognito).
• Submissions: the product URLs and any notes you submit when requesting a teardown.
• Minimal analytics: basic, privacy-conscious usage data (such as page views and anonymized events) to understand what's useful. We aim to keep this lightweight and avoid building individual profiles.

2. How we use it

We use this information to provide and secure the Service: authenticating you, processing teardown requests, delivering purchased content, preventing abuse, and improving the product. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Processors & subprocessors

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run the Service. Each processes data only as needed to perform its function:

• Amazon Web Services (incl. Cognito): hosting, databases, and authentication.
• Lemon Squeezy: our merchant of record for payments — they handle checkout and billing and process your payment details directly.
• Email delivery (Amazon SES): sending sign-in codes and transactional email.
• Analytics provider: aggregate usage measurement.

4. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies: an httpOnly session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a short-lived cookie that protects the sign-in (OAuth) flow against cross-site request forgery. These are required for the Service to function and are not used for advertising.

5. Data retention

We keep account and submission data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Short-lived items (such as one-time sign-in codes and session tokens) expire automatically. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove associated personal data except where we are required to retain it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
